Treatment with BOTOX
Certain facial muscles contract to create expressions such as smiles and frowns. Over time, the repeated contraction of these muscles causes wrinkles (referred to as "dynamic wrinkles") to form. BOTOX Cosmetic is a purified form of botulinum protein, which reduces the activity of facial muscles, eliminating dynamic wrinkles such as frown lines and crow's feet.

After Treatment
There is no recovery time needed after your BOTOX treatment. While some Newport Beach and Irvine patients report minor swelling, redness, or bruising, these temporary side effects can be avoided using a bruising kit cream and pill available at our office or (worst case scenario) can be covered with makeup and won't keep you from your usual routine. You can expect to see maximum results in 7 to 10 days and your great new look should last between 3 and 6 months.
To keep your results looking fresh, maintenance treatments should be performed about every 6 months. If you discontinue treatment, the frown lines between your brows will gradually return to their pre-treatment appearance.
